One of the last events I had the pleasure of being a part of here in Chicago was the Westfield Old Orchard Sip & Shop a few weeks ago. I can honestly say it was one of my favorite events to date. I’m a big fan of outdoor, walking malls – there’s nothing like fresh air and a little shopping to put a girl in a great mood! Add lots of wine and it’s a winning night all around. Shaheen and my roommate Melanie (you may know her from this picture) came with me for a night full of laughs and exactly what the name encourages.. sipping and shopping.  We had a blast wandering through the shops and trying things on while tasting new types of wine and getting educated by members of the Wine Channel TV team.

The event was wonderful and I was even a part of a short segment that will appear on Wine Channel TV at some point! Most importantly, it was a really fun night and opportunity to spend more time with Shaheen and Melanie before I leave. I am so thankful to have wonderful friends who want to come and partake in and support these fun events that I get to be a part of!

I hadn’t been out to the Westfield Old Orchard before, but I absolutely loved it. My favorite thing about the mall was getting to walk from shop to shop without being elbowed by people (like on Michigan Ave.) and being able to pop into name brand stores like BCBG and Vince Camuto. I actually snagged this romper, earrings and shoes all from the brand stores which almost never happens for me. The lace, open back is what sealed the deal for me on the romper.

I’ve been loving these low heel gladiator sandals as a summer friendly alternative to the heels you’ll typically find me in. I’m running around like crazy trying to go from work to meeting up with people before I go, and these are such a stylish and easy way to deter from true flats. If you’re in Chicago and have a chance to attend any of the Westfield Old Orchard’s future Sip & Shop’s, I would highly recommend it! It’s a great night of shopping, wine and fun!
