One thing I’ve learned about living in New York is that once you see something get popular, you start seeing it everywhere. I don’t think I go a day without seeing Stan Smith’s on a super fashionable girl heading to work. The subway can be a bleak place, but I have to say that one of my favorite parts of my morning commute is getting to people watch. You can almost always spot a girl that works in fashion and it’s become a great source of outfit inspiration for me.
I’ve been a sneaker girl for a long time now and love the idea of pairing them with a casual dress and thanks to this fickle weather, I needed a leather jacket too. It’s the perfect amount of casual with an edge for me and obviously plenty of comfort. I don’t know if I would’ve ever created this kind of look before I moved here. I’ve been feeling extra New York nostalgia lately and realized I have gotten away from sharing some fun things around the city and more about my life.
I’m toying with the idea of bringing back a series I started last year called Life In New York with quick snaps from Instagram and new things we’re trying around the city. What do you think? Should I give it another shot?
