Growing up, I never really needed a ton of cold weather staples. You really just needed one coat, a few sweaters and a North Face jacket and you were good to go. After all, winter in Texas is really over in the blink of an eye – and summer clothes are much more fun!
If you can believe it, I had never owned a cashmere sweater until this year. Even in Chicago I found myself in so many layers that the quality of the fabric didn’t even matter because you really couldn’t feel your body. That changed this year. I’ve started liking brown more (also weird for me), picked up a few cashmere sweaters, and have been getting up earlier. I’ve heard this is called “growing up.”
This particular sweater I picked up during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but I love this version too. We had the perfect fall weather this weekend full of celebrations! I finally had to pull out my blanket scarf, we cozied up with some candles and a lot of TV, and had the chance to celebrate two very special engagements–one of which was Mickey’s sister!
I’m catching up this week and next week will finally be able to share some exciting things with you guys. Happy Monday!
