This year we have a ton of weddings and events that require us to travel. I have no complaints over here as they’re all very fun and exciting places, some that we have never been to before. I love traveling and even though haven’t gotten to do it as much as I used to over the past few years love packing up and heading to new (and warmer) places!

I’m very proud to say that I’m an excellent packer. No really, I know how to get it done! I tend to lean on a few tips and tricks to get it all in a carry-on suitcase because there’s nothing worse than having to check a bag going both ways. I like to be in the airport for the least amount of time humanly possible.

For trips like weddings I’m usually looking to bring jewelry and accessories that could be worn both day or night and then use jackets or bottoms to make my main pieces like this maxi dress work double duty, too.

Of course there are some things that are just meant for daytime like this amazing floppy hat that’s only $18. I splurged today on the Urban Outfitters 20% off dress sale and picked up a few that will be perfect for going day to night on our trips this summer. I mean, this one is called “La Playa“! It was absolutely begging to come to Mexico with me, right?
