On my last day of work I pulled together a quick outfit for a warm summer day in Chicago. I have been wearing these shorts and this top on repeat because of the detailed embroidery – it just feels like summer when I put them on! After combing through my closet and really honing in on the pieces I wanted to keep for the move, I reminded myself of a few pieces that I love because of the attention to detail. It’s the little things that really make a difference in a simple, everyday look like this one.
Kendra Scott recently launched a new line for Fall that includes some more delicate pieces featuring one of my favorite shapes of theirs – the small arrowhead. IÂ have been getting back into layered necklaces, especially several delicate ones together. The Skylie pendant is my favorite new piece of jewelry for Fall because it can be worn with long necklaces and short or simply by itself. I love all of the Kendra Scott pieces, but being a petite (and sometimes a bit minimalistic) there are definitely days when I prefer a smaller sized necklace or ring. I find myself gravitating to those smaller pieces on a more regular basis and save the larger ones for days when I have more of an occasion to dress for.
Maybe it’s the move, or maybe it’s just a season that I’m in but I’ve been in the mindset of noticing and appreciating the little things as of late. What about you?
