Trends and styles make their comebacks all the time – some are fabulous… some are not so fabulous *cough* Doc Maartens.. sorry I just can’t accept that one. The style icons of 30 + years ago helped shape fashion and the industry into what it is today. I had a retro bridal shower for my sister last weekend that had me searching for great retro pieces that are currently out there.

Jackie O (pastime) and Victoria Beckham (modern day) have made the sheath dress into an effortlessly classy/sexy look that you can even wear to work. Don’t have the dough to throw down on a classy sheath? No worries… here’s a great look that is affordable! (via revolveclothing.com and anntaylor.com)
For work: pair with black pumps and a sweater in case your office is chilly, and maybe a low polished ponytail if you’re in a hurry
For night: throw on a motorcycle jacket to juxtapose the sheek look with a little edge and grab some strappy platform sandals and arm your wrists with bangles
For a day occasion: Wear them with nude or camel heels (you don’t always have to go matchy matchy with a black LBD) and some simple jewelry, hair a little wavy/curly and you’re set!
