My summer vibe can be summed up in two words: casual and breezy. Sure, you’ll find me in a lot of dresses and wedges or a heel, but dresses are my definition of easy. Then I discovered this romper. I stared at it on the screen for a solid 5 minutes or so just trying to figure out why it caught my eye. (I also very specifically am not referring to them as overalls, because I swore I would never ever put those on my body.) I closed my eyes and thought about where I could see myself wearing this and flashbacks of last summer came into my mind.Â
We spend most of our summer traveling (this year to Chicago, Charleston, and back to Dallas), out in Connecticut or if we’re lucky out in the Hamptons at friends’ places. We try to spend as much time as we can outside and near water if possible. One of my favorite trips last year was to Seaside for one of my best friend’s weddings. We would wake up and bike into town for breakfast and that’s exactly what this outfit feels right for.Â
One of the brands that totally embodies that summer vibe is Free People. I fell in love with this top and how comfortable, but subtly sexy this off-the-shoulder number is and knew it would be a repeat item for sure.
I also thought about our trips back to Connecticut and some of our trips planned up to Martha’s Vineyard where it’s so nice to just throw something on over a bathing suit for a bike ride or a quick walk. This romper just felt so right for that summer agenda and I had to give it a shot.
I wear these sneakers espadrilles all summer long – just ask my co-workers. They’re super comfortable and I’ll definitely be bringing these to Korea with me in the Fall!Â
Can you believe summer is right around the corner? I’m so excited for a million reasons, but hands up for shorts season and all of the fun events we have on the horizon.
P.S. In case you missed it, I styled the most comfortable little lace black dress that’s under $100!
