Now that we’re in crunch time, if you haven’t started your holiday shopping you better hit the pedal! I’ve shared some ideas, but today want to talk about giving the gift of cozy.
Living in 2 of the most desperately cold cities in the U.S. will really open your eyes to how well prepared you are for the season. It wasn’t until I arrived in Chicago with just 1 coat and no gloves that I quickly realized things were going to have to change.
Over the past 5 years I’ve grown my cold weather collection little by little, but thanks to the elements and mother nature a lot of these pieces have only lasted a season or two. My mom always helped me stock up every year on gloves, hats and scarves because let’s be honest – you can never really have enough.
If you’re still looking for gift inspiration you can never go wrong with giving the gift of cozy! This striped sweater is the perfect everyday knit and great for layering under a puffy vest. I love this pairing it with this vest because you can wear it with casual clothes or even activewear if you’re headed outside in the cold for a workout. It also comes with a detachable hood to help you brave the elements!
On to the extras: earmuffs are my favorite winter accessory. I love a good beanie and everything, but I like being able to put on earmuffs and put in headphones on my way to work during those winter mornings. They also are nicer on your hair for the rest of the day, which can always use all of the help it can get. This pair I snagged is affordable and super cozy (and sadly just sold out!) – but in general a great gift for the ladies on your list. I’ll be adding more cozy gifts to my shopping list this year from Gap Factory. A few for my family and maybe one or two for me :).
How’s your holiday shopping coming along?
