There are some dresses that are no brainers. You may not even be seriously looking, but as soon as they catch your eye your credit card is out and you’re sold! This little gingham number was exactly that… not only is it a smock dress (my favorite style for summer) but it’s this perfect large print that is a blank canvas for styling with bright accessories or layers when it gets colder and while it’s still transitioning to Spring.
I wore this one on the last day of our weekend in Dallas at the Southfork Ranch, where they film the TV show Dallas, for a Texas style brunch at the Reward Style conference. It was an easy choice for a day outside and I ended up wearing my new d’orsay flats which are currently on sale to give my little feet a break from a few days straight in heels. It took me a few days to break them in, but once I did they’re incredibly comfortable and my go to choice as of late to throw on when I’m in a rush!
My favorite thing about warmer temperatures is easy, casual style. No need for many layers just sunshine and tanlines! I had a wonderful weekend and am really looking forward to more sunny days here in Chicago. Happy Cinco!
