While I love getting dressed up more than most, I find myself dressing extra casual on the weekends. I’ll throw on a day dress here and there when I have to, but if I’m just hanging out I’ll pull out an easy pair of cutoff shorts and a top.

I have a few variations of these shorts and depending on your budget you can find something that suits you. You’ve probably seen the One Teaspoon version ($99), but I also love the Free People pair ($68), or this Blank Denim pair ($88).

I spotted this little gingham top on Nordstrom a few weeks ago and couldn’t resist my favorite print with the little ties in the back. It’s also the perfect top to throw on over a bathing suit at the lake or beach!

I’m ready for the sun to come back out over the next few weeks so that I can pull this top out a few more times. The countdown is on – I’m headed back to Texas a week from today and cannot wait to see my family and celebrate my nephew’s 2nd birthday. I cannot believe that it’s already been another year (and that I’m coming up on my 1 year New York anniversary). Time is absolutely flying!
