The theme of this week was full-blown holiday preparations! Not only was every night after work extra crazy with parties, drinks and trying to see friends before I leave for Texas next week, but I had a lot of holiday shopping to do too!

I’m so excited to be heading home next weekend for a long week of relaxing with the family and showing my special someone around Dallas for the first time ever. In the meantime, this weekend is all about Christmas!

I usually have a list of things that I like to do before I head home: check out the tree, go up to Central Park, walk down 5th avenue and see all of the decorations, shop around the Union Square Christmas market and more. Last year we went to see the Rockettes (a definite bucket list item) and was reminiscing this week on how it was the same day as the first snow. We couldn’t be further from that this year (it’s been in the 60’s all week and I’m loving it) but I do hope that for at least one weekend this winter we get a really snowy blast and get to have some fun with it.
