My pet peeve with myself in the coming months is that I tend to wear the same color combinations over and over again. I get sick of my closet (and myself for not diversifying) so quickly by wearing them all out. My other fall challenge this year was to find new color combinations that I really like. You may have seen this look mixing olive and navy, it was a favorite of mine.
I usually pair all of my olive pieces with black but was pleasantly surprised at how great it looks with a lighter palette. This cardigan might be the softest thing I’ve added to my closet in a long time and I’m in love. I reach for this sweater at least once a week and it’s even better for your friends who like to give you hugs! Not only is it cozy, but it pairs well with just about everything I own–a major win in the versatility department. You can throw it on over a top with jeans or dress it up with a dress and over the knee boots.
Paired with my favorite Everlane sleeveless sweater that you’ve seen a few times – it’s great in all seasons. In short this is my favorite new color twist on a very basic outfit. I’m headed back to Texas tomorrow and all of these pieces will be coming with me. Counting down the hours until I get to see my family!

I really like the color of your Everlane sleeveless sweater and also your boots! I chanced upon your blog and it’s amazing we have quite a few things in common – I am also 5′ 2″ and your outfit in “For Every Occasion: Brunch Ready” is exactly the same as how I paired mine (I have the top in white and black). Great minds think alike! :)
