About this time of year I start dreaming of warmer temperatures as I have to start planning for fun events like showers, weddings, vacations and all things that don’t involve the cold and snow.
It’s so tempting to want to pull out my favorite skirts, brighter colors and those whites that you’re not supposed to be wearing until after Easter (oops!). I’ve been breaking all of the rules this season and finding ways to bring back my favorite summer dresses, so I’m going to keep it going!
This ruffle hem skirt is so flirty and fun and will be a great match for a pair of nude sandals and a flowy blouse come Spring, but I’m not waiting that long. I have been wearing my over the knee boots nonstop lately and layered a warm, but less bulky sweater under a white blazer for this look. I love how the white blazer really pulled the purple and periwinkle out of the skirt and brightens the whole thing.
Throw in a statement necklace and a bright shade of lipstick and you’re all set for a night out, a fun party, or a winterized shower look. It’s an easy way to stay layered and show minimal (if any if you’re short like me) skin to the winter wind, but change it up from the usual leggings or pants. Plus, who doesn’t love a flirty little skirt?
P.S. If you haven’t heard of Keepsake before, you have to check them out – they’re one of my favorite Australian brands!
