Mixin It Up

I’m the type of person who has a hard time mixing too many prints and colors and styles.. especially when it comes to playing nice with black. I’ve found that my palette in the Fall gravitates towards army green and maroon – where it’s easy to tie in both black and a good camel tone.

When I was starting to look around for ankle booties, I found that there were few options in that perfect cognac/camel color until I stumbled upon these booties. I’ve become a huge Vince Camuto fan over the past few years, especially with their shoes and leggings. It’s very hard for me to find shoes that fit in my size, but they always have great options in a size 5.

This summer I wore out my Bamaa sandals and so naturally I was searching for a pair I would feel the same about for Fall and Winter. These boots have a great platform and are chic with skirts or jeans (and are shockingly comfortable). I decided to go with a skirt and bootie look and some playful ankle socks for a pop of color.

As the weather gets colder it will be tougher to pull these off with skirts and bare legs but I fully intend on pulling out some tights and wearing these with sweater dresses. How do you style your booties?
