White Out

nike_juvenate_sneakers_white_3 White shoes, bags & clothes get a really bad rap. “They get dirty so easily”, “they’re not practical”, “you can only wear them in certain seasons”.. the list of grievances goes on and on. I’ve never been one to let a bunch of chatter change my mind about something and this is definitely no exception.

I tend to go against the grain quite often when it comes to this color – breaking out this white bucket bag in the middle of winter and pulling out these jeans in December. Most recently, instead of opting for gray or black (maybe the more practical shoe color choices) I went all white with these Nike sneakers that I’ve been living in on the weekends.

You’ll never see me in Yeezy’s and there are certain shoes that you see explode and you just want something a little different. I wanted this pair because they’re slightly perforated giving them a unique look. Lately I’ve been trying to get back in the game when it comes to being organized. I skipped my whole “I occasionally cook in the winter” thing this year because things never really slowed down and I’m hoping to be better about staying on top of my to-do list. That usually means running around the city on weekends and most excitingly with the weather warming up, I’ll be walking to work!

I’m never against changing shoes when I get into the office, but with a simple duster and a monochrome look on the bottom you can leave the sneakers on all day for a casual, relaxed look. Are you afraid of white pieces in your closet or do you embrace them?
