I’ve been playing it safer with styling lately and have been trying to find other ways to branch out – mostly through new color combinations. Our tiny apartment and the re-emergence of my winter coats and sweaters means there’s less room than ever and I really have to make do with what I have. No space = play with what you’ve got.
I’ve admittedly never really liked navy – black has always been my go to and until recently I never really gave it a chance. Ironically our main school color was navy and I used to hate it. But things change, and so do my opinions, and here we are with a new pair of navy suede pumps in my wardrobe!
I think my problem was that I wasn’t looking for the right complementary colors and upon discovering how well it works with one of my all time favorites, I’m sold on brining more navy into my wardrobe for this season with pieces like this stitched peacoat.
Thanks to some warmer days, I was able to wear this dress with the scarf as just a light layer, but starting this week it’ll definitely require a sweater or jacket as well. I’m back from an extended weekend in Chicago seeing one of my closest friends get married and excited to catch back up and settle into a fall routine. How was your weekend?
