Lately I’ve found myself reflecting back on why I started and still enjoy keeping a corner of the internet for my personal, style and lifestyle musings.
One of the main reasons why I started this blog to begin with was because I found it so enjoyable to share great finds with others. I would already share them with family and friends (back when it was just done via email haha), and figured there must be more people who were looking for a great piece at a great price or style and shopping inspiration. As with most things, your inspiration will ebb and flow and it’s always helpful to seek inspiration from others that you can relate to!
Last winter I started searching for a camel coat that fit me proportionately, was classic and well-made, and wasn’t going to cost me an arm and a leg. Believe it or not but I spent the entire winter looking, buying and returning, and came up empty-handed. There just wasn’t anything that peaked my interest and I didn’t want to just buy a $120 coat from Zara.
I’ve always been a fan of Club Monaco’s coats because they’re thick and warm and look beautiful season after season. I was so excited to see this coat come out this year – it was exactly what I was looking for. The gold buttons, the shape and the length were just about perfect for my height and really nailed the style I had been hoping to find.
If you know me (or work with me) you’ll know that I’ve worn this coat more times than I can count this winter – at least 4-5 times a week every week. As winter winds down we’ll start seeing more winter sales and I couldn’t recommend this one more. Whether you’re looking for it in camel or black (also so chic), it’s an incredible deal on a beautiful coat! You won’t regret it. 15+ camel coat purchase attempts later, I can safely say it’s tried and true.
We saw a ton of snow this weekend Saturday and into Sunday, which was beautiful and hopefully one last hurrah for the season. This week it’s going to hit an unseasonably warm 71, and then back into the high 40’s and 50’s but here’s to hoping that this will be the coldest it’ll be until I pull this beauty out again next winter!
