If you want to talk about stepping out of your comfort zone, let me be the first to tell you that it’s not easy. I used to hate change, bright pink and busy crowded places… but now here I am in a bright pink skirt living in New York City. It’s funny how life has a way of proving to you that you can be so wrong!

That’s kind of how I feel about midi skirts in general. As a petite and on the shorter side, I used to be hestitant to give them a try. I finally caved and found a few that I love because of the fit and am so excited for this snow to melt away and for the temperatures to creep back up so that I can give them the love that they deserve!

I’m loving soft combinations on days when my usual all black ensembles are you know, at the dry cleaner or something :). I stumbled into Anthropologie (who is having a huge sale on sale right now) and scooped up this perfect little striped shirt during my stop into their SoHo store. It’s the best basic tee that I’ll be wearing all Spring long, especially when I can shed these layers!

I can’t believe it’s already the end of February, and starting March 1 my official countdown to my vacation is on! I’m dreaming of sunny days, beaches, and of course cute bikinis!
