It’s summer and love is in the air! Although incredibly fun, summer weddings can be difficult to dress for. Not only are you combating the sweltering heat, but you also want to look chic and be comfortable. If you’re lucky and are attending an indoor summer wedding you still want to dress for the season. I picked out some of my favorite dresses for the occasion for day weddings and night weddings. With day weddings you want to try and keep it as light and airy as possible – literally and in terms of color. Bright, bold colors are everywhere right now so a wedding is a perfect opportunity to wear a bright strapless or one shoulder dress. The DKNY is a great way to try out color blocking too or if you have a plain strapless dress you can get thick ribbon and make it a DIY project. For nighttime you can go a little darker in terms of color, or you can go for more luxe fabrics that make sleeveless and strapless dresses look less casual. I adore this Alice + Olivia tulle dress – the cut is so perfect and it’s a dress that is bound to get you compliments all night long. Do you have any summer weddings to attend? I was just at a fabulous one this weekend – many congrats and blessings to my friends Jordan & Michael! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
