The View From 5 Ft. 2

the calm before the storm

Currently feeling: Maroon 5, Won’t Go Home Without You

I have been waist deep in planning this next shift in my life, even though there is still so much uncertainty which makes it hard to plan. I’m driving my car back to Texas tomorrow morning and preparing for what looks like my last month living in Denver and it’s back to hotels and take out for a little bit. It’s bittersweet to leave Denver because it has been my home for the past year + some months and I’ve grown to love it. At the same time, I’m definitely ready for whatever’s next for me and for a climate change! I am tired of being cold and having to tromp around in the boots above (I got them on sale on Gilt.com last year for $88 which was amazing because they are a size 4 in rainboots cause they run big… and it’s impossible to find that size anywhere). Layering is fun, but not when it hurts to leave your house!

In the midst of all of the wedding craziness, and life packing craziness, and fashion week just around the corner I am taking this weekend to enjoy the simple things. We’ll be driving through some of the flattest, plainest land in all of America and I can’t wait to just take it in and enjoy the ride. I’m thankful for the simple fact that it’s Friday and that the sun is shining through my window. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
