This past week I enjoyed a luxurious stay at the cutest little boutique hotel ever in NYC, the MAve, while there for Fashion Week & Blogger’s Night Out. Thanks to the AMAZING Kendall Donaldson we were hooked up for our entire stay in the Empire Suite (ahem.. Penthouse. Yea she is that awesome and so is our BFF George at the MAve!) and it was complete bliss! Not only was it a fantastic location (Madison & 27th), but the entire staff was beyond friendly and amazing and was quick to help us out with whatever we needed – whether it be another blanket, opening doors when we were lugging BNO stuff to and from Pranna or just a friendly smile after a long day and tired feet. We will definitely be back, and if you’re in the city you should definitely check this hotel out & you can tell them that I sent you! :)
Bright colored walls in the lobby make everything pop
The view down the stairs from the 12th floor
BCBG Generation bracelet and Forever 21 ring
The adorable lobby
Unique wall decor on every floor with steel and silver accents
Thank you again to the entire staff at the MAve! Look forward to seeing you guys soon! xo
[…] thank the MAve for hosting us so kindly, we each did an outfit post located about the hotel. (See Christine’s here!) The bright red wall in the lobby was hard to stray from + I picked this as my location for […]
Your top is so unique and fun! I love the drapey fit, and of course the polka dots are amazing! Glad you had a good hotel stay for NYFW!
Thank you! The drapey fit is what sold me.. the polka dots were a little new for me but I’m loving them :)
Christine, LOoks like the Mave is a wondeful hotel. I love those boutique hotels. They are very unique and very well styled. I love the outfit, especially the polka dot blouse.
So do I, they’re so much fun and off the beaten path you know? Thanks for the compliments on the blouse – it’s my new fave and I loooove the cut!
Oh looks like a cute hotel! Love your polka dots :)
It’s super cute and they’re the nicest people – evah. Thanks! I’m not normally a polka dot kinda girl but it was a sheer blouse that was longer in the back and I need to start stretching my style :)
Hi Christine!
1. I love your shoes! Where did you get them?
2. How did you achieve such a soft wave in your hair? It looks so pretty, but not overdone. I would love to learn your tricks! And it is different from the style that you demonstrated in your previously posted tutorial, no?
Hi Michelle! My shoes are actually from Sole Society (they were a gift) and I do the soft wave using these clips and a curling iron! I’m so glad you’re interested in learning it’s something I’ve thought about posting but haven’t yet … maybe it’s about time! It’s a similar technique to the post you’re talking about but slightly different because I don’t use velcro rollers. I basically curl the hair and then roll it into a pin with my fingers and clip it and let it hold for like 10-15 minutes, then undo and shake it all out and it will fall and be less barrel-rolled looking. Hopefully I can do a post on this soon :) Thanks for reading and keeping up, I love it!
Beautiful. Where is your top from? I love this outfit.
xo L.
I got it from a boutique in Fort Worth, but it’s Minkpink! I love that brand, have several things from them and am so happy with the quality and it’s always so cute :)
Hey there, I’m new to your site and want to add you to my google reader but everytime I try to, there is an error!
Oh no! I will see if I can get this fixed for you! So sorry!
You are so pretty my love! I loooooveddddd the MAve + the staff that hauled our 695357643 bags!
