the Pre-Fall standouts

Pre-Fall collections started rolling out a little over a week ago, and I’ve been so busy I haven’t had a chance to post about it. This one will be short, sweet and to the point – the looks that excited me most after 4 hours on Style.com. *all photos taken from Style.com and modified slightly

perfectly sartorial in all the right ways

themed Paris-Byzance, bohemian goddess meets modern day fashion queen, it’s all about the details, colors and the silhouettes

crisp and functional

femininity without the frilliness

inspired by the 20’s and 30’s,  luxury without restraint

mid-calf skirts, hippie chic with aztec inspired prints

Spanish influence meets tailored chiffon

All of these collections really blew me away, but Oscar de la Renta… wow. I was swooning over so many looks I couldn’t even limit it to 2 favorites… I had a hard enough time just picking 6! Pretty much everything in the Pre-Fall collection I would love to wear which is a rare thing for me to say (rarely outside of Chanel). Usually there a few looks in every collection that throw me for a loop but the elegance and sophistication of these looks were so spot on what a woman wants to wear. Sexy is not high hemlines and cutouts and see-through skin baringness. To me, these looks from de la Renta embody what is truly sexy about a woman – confidence.
