September will go down as the most eventful month of my entire life. More to come on some other developments, but you guys all have heard and seen by now that we got engaged!
I’m still getting used to having so much sparkle on my left hand, but everything else has felt so natural. It has truly been the most special time of my entire life and we’re just trying to soak it all in and enjoy it.
My memories are very much tied to scents and photos. One of the reasons I’m so happy that we have these pictures is because I know that any time I look at them again even 20+ years from now I’ll remember that day and the joy, surprise and love that I was filled with. The same thing goes with other little mementos in life. I can jump back in time by hearing a song or the smell of a perfume that I wore during a certain period of my life.
If you follow me on Instagram you saw that last month during fashion week I was at a very special event for Tiffany’s new fragrance. It couldn’t be a more fitting timing to experience a fragrance like this – especially one that is inspired by love. With notes of mandarine, iris and musk it’s really the perfect blend of three scents that you may not originally think to pair together. I had a chance to smell the individual ingredients at the event and it’s so interesting to smell them separately and then also see how they combine to form something completely unique when brought together. It’s very symbolic of what true love is all about.
I rarely buy myself new fragrances and honestly a few of mine have been with me through the move to New York and now 2 apartments. That being said, this is the first scent that I own that makes me feel like a beautiful, grown up woman when I wear it. All of my other fragrances remind me of my single life, different cities and places, but this one reminds me of the month where I got engaged to the love of my life and the home that we first lived in together. It will always have a special place in my heart.
