Two necklaces, two tops, two bags, two feet and most importantly.. two squirrels!
I realized today that I have an appreciation for quirky things when it comes to fashion and that definitely matches my personality. Do I like squirrels in real life? Umm.. no (they were all over our college campus and I swear the pre-med students used them for experiments.. they were not normal). Do I like them staring at each other on a striped sweater like they’re about to fight for a nut? Absolutely. Maybe you’re more into jeweled llamas, pandas, cats, or horses … whatever gets you goin — there’s a whole Zoo for you to shop below.
Realization #2 was that I’m a self proclaimed black boot kinda girl. They just go with everything I have and growing up in Texas we didn’t really have much of a Fall (which I associate with brown boots), so it was Summer –> Winter for this little one. When I was living in Denver my first day of snow I accidentally wore suede boots sans weather protectant to work and pretty much ruined them. I bought these over-the-knee boots that next weekend and have really loved how much they allow me to play with tights and colored skinnies! But, it’s time for another pair. These Sam Edelman’s are lookin for a double date. I need another pair of flat riding boots, preferably camel or cognac so if you have any recommendations pleaseee share!
This DKNY crossbody is going to be my new best friend this season. I love the shade of pink and how it adds another dimension to an outfit, plus it’s the perfect size for the necessities and can double as a clutch. It’s #notyourordinary little bag!
Thanks to everyone who enjoyed my look today! :) Don’t be afraid to mix bold prints… shoot me a note if you do I would love to see!
xo,
For the petites: Over the knee boots are totally doable for you! I recommend finding some that don’t come up over 2-2.5 inches above your kneecap, unless they’re fully fitted through the mid-thigh. Otherwise, with most shirts and skirts it will barely look like you have legs!
Hello… I just love love love your boots!!! I’m dying to find these!! If you could please share where I can find them it would be so appreciated… Thank u so much! :)
Hi Tiana! I actually got them a year or so ago from Nordstrom and they’re Sam Edelman. I’ll look for some more and if I find any send them your way!
Love this look! Especially the boots. I’ve been searching for new non-slouch high boots and you’ve inspired me! Thanks for sharing this.
