This is my definition of the perfect casual outfit – simple, classic and not too overthought.

Most days I love to get dressed up and love a good dress and pair of heels, but there are plenty of days where a pair of jeans and a great t-shirt will do the trick.

I stumbled upon these J.Crew tissue v-neck t-shirts this summer and fell in love! I ordered 3 (I’m having my friend embroider one!) in white and black. Not only are they super soft, but they’re under $20 which is amazing.

I have friends that love an expensive white tee (i.e. James Perse, or Alexander Wang) but I really try to keep my basics in this department nice, but still inexpensive.

I was surprised to find that H&M’s jersey line of basics is incredibly comfortable, flattering, and also very budget friendly. This scoop neck t-shirt is only $5.99! Other fan favorites are Everlane’s t-shirts, and the Madewell version that I have in black and forest green.

So what else do you pair a classic white t-shirt with?

My go-to is a great pair of jeans (these Rag & Bone are hands down my favorite that I own) and in this case wedges (easy to walk in and gives me some height), and a great bag.
